12 September Aleksandra Potocka-Kuc and Marzanna Kostecka-Biskupska, teacher-consultants at the Holy Cross Teacher Training Centre in Kielce, visited the Kaunas Lagoon Regional Park. Evaldas Makrickas, the administrator of the Visitor Centre, introduced the guests to the natural and cultural values of Kaunas Lagoon Regional Park, the unique value of Kaunas Lagoon Regional Park, the history of the Nemunas Valley, legends, and the attractions of the park. Introduced the School of Nature, founded in 2001. Norway’s Nature Schools. According to Mr Makrick, environmental education is one of the Regional Park’s priority activities. The aim is to ensure that the next generation is not alienated from nature, understands and appreciates it and its phenomena, and takes an interest in its environment and culture. Nature is a great place for learning and creativity, a place to grow and develop.

On Tuesday afternoon, the guests visited Kaunas President Valdas Adamkus Gymnasium. The headmistress Rita Mikalauskienė together with the team of the gymnasium presented the uniqueness of the gymnasium – ecological education, which is integrated into the formal, non-formal and project activities.
